We first have our Etrailer hitch, and then below that we have our Curt and they look very similar, and that's because they are very similar. Really all that comes down to when choosing between these two is gonna be what powder coat finish do you like. We actually have the Etrailer installed on our Sorento today, and I like the matte black powder coat finish. It gives it a little cleaner look and it seems like it holds up a little bit better to chips, scratches, or any nicks that may come about while driving around. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the etrailer trailer hitch receiver on a 2022 Kia Sorento. Now this is what the hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on your Sorento, and the best part is it is a hidden cross tube. And that means that the main portion of the hitch is hidden pretty well behind the rear fascia. So the only thing that's going to be visible from the outside of the vehicle is going to be the two inch trailer hitch receiver as well as the plate-style safety chain loops here. That's gonna give it an overall cleaner look. And also it's got this nice matte black powder coat finish which also kind of makes it a little stealthier than your typical gloss black. more

Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Installation - 2022 Kia Sorento- Video

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver on a 2022 Kia Sorento. Now this is what it's gonna look like when it's installed on your Sorento and you can see that this is an exposed cross tube meaning that you are gonna see the hitch portion hanging down past the rear fascia and that tube is gonna be welded in line with that. Now there are other options out there for a hidden cross tube that allows that tube to be hidden behind the bumper. And this one overall doesn't look too terribly bad. It does kind of add that to the bottom but you're getting a lot of value added here with the hitch and that ability to be able to have not only a ball mount, bike racks and cargo carriers, but really anything that life throws your way. And whatever accessory you're choosing, having a two inch by two inch is kind of the standard. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over, and showing you how to install, the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver here on our 2017 Kia Sorento. So, this is what our trailer hitch looks like installed on the vehicle. Now, everything is actually nice and tucked up to the bottom of the bumper there. So, we're not gonna reduce our ground clearance as much. In the etrailer trailer hitch receiver they actually have a nice matte black powder coated finish, which helps protect the hitch from rust and corrosion, being that it is on the under side of the vehicle. And, that matte finish also does a better job of help hiding nicks and scratches, and in most cases that blends in well with the underbody paneling on the vehicle a little bit better. more

Hi there, Kia owners. Today on 2021 Kia Sorento, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install CURT's Class Three, two inch trailer hitch receiver. And this is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. The cross tube is going to be hidden behind our bumper, you'll be able to see just a hair of it here at the bottom, but that's really only noticeable when you're down here kneeling and looking at it, when you're standing up at the back, you really just see the receiver here at the back. And it's tucked up fairly nicely, so it doesn't detract from the looks of the vehicle. Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Kia Sorento, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the eTrailer Class III Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number E98843. Here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. The cross tube is going to be visible, and it's going to be sitting right below our bumper. It is a Class III hitch, which means that it's going to give us that two-inch by two-inch receiver tube opening which is going to open up a lot of doors for all sorts of different kinds of accessories that we can mount up.Now, the way that we're going to mount any of our accessories into the hitch pin hole here on the side, and it is going to accept a standard 5/8 pin and clip, and while these aren't included in our kit, you can pick them up here at etrailer.com. As far as these safety chain connection points go, it's going to be a plate style welded in the bottom of the receiver tube and the cross tube, and as you can see, we're not going to have too much trouble getting most size hooks on or off, but we're going to have plenty of room to get that positioning right so we shouldn't have to worry about a locking device or a hitch pin getting in the way.Our hitch is going to have a 750-pound tongue weight, which is going to be the maximum downward force at the receiver tube here. It's also going to have a 5,000-pound gross trailer weight rating, which is going to be the amount it can pull including the trailer and everything we have loaded on it. more

Part number E98843.Here's what our hitch looks like installed. One of the first things you will notice about this hitch is that there is plenty of clearance around the receiver which makes this a great hitch to use for bike racks and cargo carriers which is what many of our customers are buying a hitch for their Sorento for to use with a bike rack.Now, even though we have plenty of clearance around our receiver, and the hitch itself isn't concealed behind the fascia, it does sit up nice and tight against it and follows all the lines of the vehicle nicely to give us a nice clean look.What really sets this hitch apart from others on the market is the finish of it. It has a matte black carbide finish which is much more durable than your standard power coat coating of a gloss black or flat black. It's much more scratch resistant and also is much more corrosion resistant. So you'll have nice looking hitch on your vehicle for a very long time.On the side of our receiver, you'll find our industry standard, 5/8th of an inch diameter hitch pin hole that you can use a pin and clip to secure your hitch mounted accessories. more

Here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. That cross tube is going to be visible right underneath the bumper, but it is going to be tucked in nicely, so it's really not going to distract from the looks of our Sorento. Our hitch is going to give us that 2" by 2" opening, 'cause it is a Class 111, which offers a wide variety of accessories that we can mount up.Now, the way that we're going to mount all of our accessories to through the forward hole here. It's going to accept the standard 5/8 pin and clip. Those aren't included in our kit, but you can pick them up here, on our website at etrailer.com, using part number PC3. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Kia Sorento - Draw-Tite- Video

Speaker 1: Today on this 2011 Kia Sorento we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class 3 trailer hitch receiver, part number 75684.Here's what our hitch looks like installed. One thing that's nice about this hitch is that it follows the contours of our bumper nicely and goes underneath our exhaust so we don't have to worry about lowering the exhaust in order to get the hitch installed.On the side of our receiver you'll find our industry-standard 5/8" diameter hitch pin hole to secure any of our hitch-mounted accessories. Closer to the rear of the receiver you'll find an additional hole for a j-pin stabilization device. What that will do is take away the annoying shake, play, and rattle of anything that is inserted into your receiver.On the bottom of our hitch you'll find our rolled steel safety chain loops. What's nice about these is even if you have a large diameter safety chain hook such as this one, it'll still clip on easily and can easily be removed. On the back of our receiver you'll find this collar that's welded on to help give us a nice finished look and also to help reinforce the strength of the opening of the receiver.This hitch features a 350 pound max tongue weight rating, which is the amount forcing down, and a 3,500 pound max gross trailer weight rating, which is the amount it can pull. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Kia Sorento, we're gonna take a look at, and also show you how to install, the Curt Custom Fit Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver. This offers the 2" x 2" receiver tube opening, as part number: C13195. Now, here's what our hitch is gonna look like when you get it installed. You'll see the cross tube come run across to about this point, then a bracket is gonna tuck up and over the hitch, and then of course, it's gonna go over and match up to the frame. You've got the hardware. There's no drilling or anything like that required, so it's a pretty easy installation. more

Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Kia Sorento- Video

Today on our 2017 Kia Sorento we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw Tite Class III Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 75908. Here's what our hitch looks like fully installed. It's going to sit right below our bumper, and the cross tube is going to be partially visible. Now, it is a class III hitch, so it's going to give us that 2 inch by 2 inch opening, and it has a nice reinforced collar giving it added strength and a nice look. Now, we're going to have two sets of holes on our receiver tube opening here. The hole closest to the front of the car, that's going to be for our hitch pin and clip, and that's going to be using a standard 5/8 pin and clip. Now, they're not included in our kit, but you can pick some up on our website using part number PC3. The secondary hole back here, that's going to be for the J pin stabilization device which is going to be great for any accessories that don't have a built in anti-rattle. The safety chains are going to be a plate style, and that's going to be welded into the bottom of the receiver and cross tube here, and as you can see we're not going to have any trouble getting most sized hooks on or off. more

This is a class three hitch, so it's going to give us a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. It does have that reinforced collar giving it added strength and a nice look. Best 2014 Kia Sorento Hitch Options- Video

Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2014 Kia Sorento. Up top, we've got the Curt Class Three Hitch, part number C13152, followed by the Draw Tite Class Three Hitch, part number 75772. The first major difference that we're going to see between these two hitches is going to come in the weight capacity that they're rated for. The Curt is going to feature a max tongue weight of 900 pounds, and that's going to be the total weight of any accessory pushing down here on the inside of the receiver tube opening. It's going to feature a max towing weight of 6000 pounds, which is going to be the total weight of the trailer and anything that you may have on it. The Draw Tite is going to feature a max tongue weight of 525 pounds, and a gross trailer weight of 3500 pounds. When used with weight distribution, the Curt's going to stay at 900 pound max tongue weight, and go up to 8000 pound gross trailer weight. The Draw Tite is going to stay at 525 pounds max tongue weight, and go up to 5250 pound gross trailer weight. You will want to be sure to check the owners manual of your vehicle to be sure that it's rated for that type of weight. Another difference that we'll see between these two hitches is that here on the Draw Tite, it's got this welded on bracket. more

Today on our 2013 Kia Sorento, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Max Spring trailer hitch receiver, class three. Part number 75684. Here's what it's going to look like once it's installed. You can see it's got a nice black powder coating finish. Our receiver tube is going to tuck up nicely under the back of the vehicle. We are going to have a little bit of protrusion out of the bottom here with this rectangular tube on the bottom as it goes across as it drops down below our exhaust on this side so you're going to see a little bit more of it on this side. Going to be a complete bolt on design using factory weld nuts with the hardware that's supplied. more

This is going to offer the 2 inch opening, its part number is 87665. Here's what our hitch looks like once we get it installed, you'll see it tucks up really close under the bumper here, which is nice. We're not going to have it hanging down too much. This is a class 4 hitch so it offers the 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube openings. You've got nice large safety chain connection points on either side, so connecting trailers or anything like that aren't going to be an issue at all. more

We're using all factory connection points with the installation, so we don't have to do any drilling or any modification. We'll lower the exhaust down just to give us some room to work, lower the appearance panel down here to give us a little bit of room to work, but really not that involved. more

Today on our 2003 Kia Sorento we're going to be installing the Draw-Tite trailer hitch, part number 75516. Now here's what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch, such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost edge of the bumper is even. From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground is approximately 16-1/2". Now let's go ahead and install our hitch. Now we're going to go ahead and and begin our installation by first lowering down and removing the spare tire temporarily. more
